Dunchurch fete – June 2024
We had a beautiful sunny day for our tombola at the Dunchurch fete. Choir members donated bottles, toiletries, food and other items which a group of us set out on our stall. The items disappeared very quickly, raising about £150 to put towards buying more music. We took the opportunity to advertise our next concert which is also being held at the Dunchurch Village Hall.
October 2019
For 30+ years Rotary International has worked tirelessly throughout the world with UNICEF, the World Health Organisation, Save the Children and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to eradicate Polio.
The evening was designed to raise awareness of the work done by the above organisations in their efforts to rid the world of Polio.

Woodland Singers were proud to support this worthy cause by providing the musical entertainment which we did with a wide selection of songs, the poem 'Warning' by Jenny Josephs (purple is the designated colour of World Polio Day) a solo by Brian, our accompanist and a talk by one of our members who contracted Polio as a young child. For this event the choir changed their normal concert uniform so that items of purple could be worn. The church was bathed in purple lighting.
The evening was hugely successful, with a total of £615.60 being raised, which will be matched twice by the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation.
